Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace.

He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do. Though, you’d like to get to know Grace better.

But it’s difficult, because you realise Jack and Grace are never apart.

Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.

Sometimes, the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.

Excellent Read

I couldn't put this book down, it was quite intense. My daughter also loved it, she read it in a matter of hours.

Will take it up again at a future time

Recently returned to reading after an audiobook was gifted to me by my Niece (Shantaram -G.D.Roberts). After listening to it I was hooked again. I searched online and found Booktopia and joined. After reading Paris' later book "The Breakdown," I chased up this title and was drawn into it completely, couldn't put it away. Very well constructed, I thought, so many little details that could have confused the issue, were openly placed there for the reader to discover and make what they would of them. I never felt as though the author was, at any stage, trying to obscure and make it too complex.
