Season two of Outlander begins as Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful.
Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship. However, armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising, and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.

Comments about Outlander:
I have now read entire 8 books to this series and four books about lord John grey (character in the series). I have friends and family also obsessed with theses books . Diana Gabaldon will no doubt go down as one of the most brilliant writers of the past thirty years . Her books are based on fantasy time travel through the standing stones that are in fact real . There is a lot of real history of events and times that are fused with strong characters, love , death plotting and Hero's, Start with this book TRUST me you will be hooked . She is currently writing the next book and l carnt wait.
