Based on a true story about a decorated Korean War hero who, unable to fit back in to society, is committed to Florida's Chattahoochee State Mental.

Accepting his fate calmly at first, he quickly discovers the institution's brutality, and begins a personal crusade to change its cruel practices and unsanitary conditions. A punchy drama starring Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper and Frances McDormand.
