Australia is a continent of rare contrasts, of turquoise seas and red-ochre rockforms, of luxuriant rainforests and sparkling white beaches.

In this selection of spectacular images, world-renowned photographer Ken Duncan turns his camera on the varied landscapes of his home nation. The result is a portrait in miniature of classic Australia - from the desert wonders of Uluru and Kata Tjuta to the Coral Sea magnificance of Whitehaven Beach.

Destination Australia is one of a delightful series of Ken Duncan Mini books produced to provide a snapshot of Australia's unique scenery.

About the Author

Ken Duncan OAM, is recognised as one of the world's leading landscape photographers. With every new release of Limited Edition Prints he delights long-time collectors and new fans alike with his own inimitable style of landscape photography.

Ken has worked on several international book projects in such exotic locations as Malaysia, China and Hollywood and for years was the preferred photographer for Australian rock band Midnight Oil. His first solo book was published in 1987, and he later went on to become a publisher in his own right. Since 1992, over 30 individual titles have been released under the Ken Duncan Panographs trademark.

Although Ken prefers the panoramic format - "that's the way we see", he says - he is well versed in a multitude of formats and media. He has even dabbled in cinematography and would like to do more with this medium in the future. He can turn his hand to any type of photography - from portraits to landscapes to 3-D and everything in between - and produce consistently creative results.

Very disappointing book

Extremely disappointing book by this excellent photographer. I have several of his books, and often give them away as gifts. This one was purchased as a gift for someone, however I was too embarassed to give it away. It is way smaller than I expected, and although the photographs are excellent, the biggest disappointment is the pale grey printing and quotations in this book. The colour of the letters are a pathetic wishy washy pale grey colour, so light and extremely hard to read- and I have excellent eye sight. What a mistake the publishers made with this one!

I would definitely purchase this book again

This book was a great buy as a gift for an overseas young chap who is staying with me for a while and will not get to see all of Australia. I wanted something he could take back to Ireland and show to people back home how vast Australia is and the beauty of what we have to offer.

Great gift idea

Bought as a gift for internationally based friends who loved it.
