Cathy's love for all the flavors, colors, peoples and landscape of her former home of Lebanon, resound throughout this exciting story. Cathy's historical knowledge of the conflicts in the region gives a greater understanding of the plight of the Lebanese people and their neighbors. Her writing challenges many stereotypes and misunderstandings about the Middle East. I loved the book....I just finished reading Damascus Street and can hardly wait for the next book in this trilogy. Cathy did a wonderful job weaving the history and political turmoil of the Middle East into a romance thriller...the Syrian, introduces an array of characters in a maze of a plot and truly left me ""hanging"" but ""hungry"" for the sequel. Damascus street tied up some of the loose ends from the Syrian but definitely leaves you anxious to find out what will happen in book #3....I'll be pre-ordering her next book for sure! -Kim Landry-Ayres

Damascus Strret is an Incredible, amazing book. This romantic suspenseful story will keep you on the edge of your seat and changes from chapter to chapter. The book is set in the Middle East and Cathy Sultan is more than knowledgeable on the Middle East history.
