"For any child fortunate enough to have this generous book...the kings and heroes of ancient legend will remain forever matter-of-fact; the pictures interpret the text literally and are full of detail and witty observation."--"Horn Book." "The drawings...are excellent and excitingly evocative."--"The New York Times."
I bought several copies for my Year 6 class after reading reviews. My students are captivated by the stories and love to discuss the illustrations. Best class buy ever!
Should be in every child's library!
Written for young readers, this colourful book gives a concise history of many of the Greek Gods and Heros, and their exploits. My son and I read it every night until we finished it, and we still regularly refer back to it. I have bought this book several times to be given as a gift (with the recipients always enthralled).
