Excellent read

I thought Conclave was a great read but I am a fan of Robert Harris; VERY enjoyable

Another example of a logical alternative

An interesting approach to the election of a pope. The attention to detail is such that Harris feels it necessary to add a disclaimer about possible similarities with the "present' Pope. The politics and machinations of the Vatican are looked at in a way that avoids some of the vitriol now evident in other places. I recommend the book and the suthor.

An interesting and informative introduction to the vatican

Whilst a novel, it really gave detailed information about the process for selecting a Pope.

I would buy this book again

Excellent. I was engaged from page 1

Inside the Vatican

I like to read a chapter or two each night before going to bed. This has been and interesting and informative read about the workings of the Vatican

Read it in one sitting - un-putdownable!

A thrilling look into the machinations behind the election of a new Pope. The viewpoing is from Cardinal Lomeli, a man of belief and hard work. It is a character driven story of friendship, deceit and self-questioning. Well written and a real page turner. I recommend to those who love excellent, character driven thrillers. This certainly is one.

I am waiting still. His latest, Conclave, is superb." -- Ben Macintyre * The Times BOOKS OF THE YEAR * "A real page-turner, with a great twist in the final pages." -- Libby Purves * The Times BOOKS OF THE YEAR * "Finishing this splendid and intelligent story, as with all great fiction, brings an acute sense of loss." -- Richard Susskind * The Times BOOKS OF THE YEAR *
