Love it!

My middle child borrowed this book from the kindy library and the pages were so worn that I couldn't read them so I purchased this new one to donate to the kindy as the kids obviously love it! It is very colourful and my kids tend to borrow it numerous times from the kindy library.

a brilliant book for sharing with young grandchildren. I anticipate many years of fun as we share this book repeatedly. The illustrations and the rhyming text are wonderful and very appealing and catchy. A great fun introduction to poetry and to learning simple facts about the natural world.

a whole heap of happiness

I bought this for my first grand-daughter who is almost 1 but who loves looking at books by herself as well as sharing them with anyone who will read with her. She seems to love rhyme and she enjoys bright happy pictures. This book is perfect for all these things. I will probably keep it for her 2nd birthday but can imagine it being a favourite for a number of years (in fact it is likely that she, like her mother, will still have it when she is adult. Books don't get any better than this.
