Change Your Thinking is the bestselling guide to managing upsetting emotions by learning to think in a healthy and balanced way. It provides practical strategies for overcoming negative thoughts and behaviours, and taking control of emotions such as anxiety, depression, frustration, anger and guilt. It also describes techniques for enhancing self-esteem, improving communication skills and developing greater personal happiness.

Change Your Thinking is based on the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), the psychological approach used by therapists all over the world. Sarah Edelman explains CBT in a clear and compassionate way. This edition also contains a brand new chapter on mindfulness, demonstrating how mindfulness techniques can be integrated with CBT strategies.

"Normally I don't think books like this are very helpful, but 'Change Your Thinking' is really helping me to change my life. When I started reading it, I immediately felt like I could get back in control and actually improve what I had accepted as the status quo. The author gives a lot of simple tips that work, and the exercises are a big help. I highly recommend this book to anyone suffering from anxiety or depression." (One of the many positive customer reviews)

I have not read all this book but

5

I like what I have read so far. Learning strategies to cope with difficult times and recognising a lot of things we dwell on, in the big picture become insignificant over time. I am enjoying opening a page at the moment anywhere in the book and learning something I can relate to. Really need to sit down and read this book but it also encourages you to go out have a good time and do things you enjoy.

A valuable, life-changing resource!

If any person struggles with self-worth, self-image, anxiety, depression, PTSD or any other form of mental illness, this book has tools to assist in the altering the mind from constant negative thinking, to aiming to see the silver lining. As someone who struggles everyday with mental illness, this book was like a breath of fresh air to say, its not as hopeless as you think. Sarah Edelman (PhD) has exceeded expectations, with positive quotes throughout the text as if taking a break from explanation to uplift the reader to prepare for the next part of the learning process. I have already recommended this text to my friends and family. Furthermore, I would (and have) recommended this valuable product to medical practitioners and nursing staff who deal with mental health patients at-in and day-out, to enable them to be more equipped with strategies that could assist patients who suffer from conditions addressed. I look forward to embracing other works from Sarah Edelman (PhD). Happy Reading!
