Whilst I like the idea behind this book, I can't think of anyone like the author or the people in her case studies! I'm sure such thoughtful and generous people do exist (and I would gladly have them as my family and friends!) but they must be in a minority. I bought this book because I can relate to the desire to give and I have a fascination with packaging. I also have a dream to start a subscription box business so I'm interested in creative ways to wrap and send items. But I'm finding that in this tech era most are now obsessed with screen-based activities and not the thoughtful, tangible things of days gone by. Whilst the author does present some interesting ideas, I didn't find the book overly inspiring - perhaps that was just due to my personal taste in design and gifts. I would recommend the book but I think it was overpriced for what it offered.
