"Cactus" is included in the short story collection, called «Waifs And Strays», published in 1910. This novel tells us the love story of a young man named Trysdale. He was inspired with love to a girl. Reciprocating his feelings, she lifted him on a pedestal, sincerely praising his skills and talents.
