About the Author

Joe Dispenza, D.C., the author of Evolve Your Brain, studied biochemistry at Rutgers University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in neuroscience, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has received postgraduate training and continuing education in neurology, neuroscience, brain function and chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, and aging and longevity.One of the scientists, researchers, and teachers featured in the award-winning film What the BLEEP Do We Know!?, Dr. Joe has lectured on six continents, educating people about the functions of the human brain. This book joins the dots and makes so much sense. I now understand the "how" behind some of the self-help practices that have worked for me. If you are new to NLP and empowering yourself, this book could be a little too much too soon for you, so take your time and it's ok if you re-read chapters/the book. Otherwise, devour the science behind change, daydream as you ponder the gems in this book and enjoy the results that you get!!

Read this...you won't regret it!!

As 'self help' book go, there are very few I would recommend to others...but this one I would. If someone had explained to me before I read it that this is about meditation, I would never have picked it up, as the whole world of humming and chakras and gurus is not one I subscribe to!! However, if you like to base your thinking on science, then explaining human existence and energy using quantum physics will be something you can work with...and how our brain waves affect our ability to reprogram ourselves is something very powerful. For the first time in my life I have started meditating - without sceptical smirking and all! The book contains the script for 3 stages of meditation to learn...somewhat cumbersome!! However these can be purchased as audio files from the author's website complete with backing soundtrack, which is a much better option - just a pity the book is not automatically distributed with a cd or a free download.
