We are fortunate to have so many talented local authors, which is why we can feature so many picture books by Australian authors.

My First Animalia is another great example of a locally grown beloved children’s book. Written by celebrated author Graeme Base, this book is ideal for young explorers with flaps for lifting, alphabet-learning guides, and a fun introduction to the world’s most incredible animals. It was originally written in 1986, and has sold several million copies, making it a classic to be enjoyed across generations for many years to come.
