Describe the perfect date.<\/strong><br \/>\nA day wandering around rural back roads with my husband; morning tea from the picnic basket, maybe lunch in a country cafe or a country pub, some gentle walking in a National Park \u2013 what could be better?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Which of your books are you most proud of?<\/strong><br \/>\nThat\u2019s like asking which child a parent loves the most \ud83d\ude42 I\u2019m proud of all of them \u2013 but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.booktopia.com.au\/dead-heat-bronwyn-parry\/prod9780733630132.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Dead Heat<\/em><\/a> is an Australian Romance Readers Award winner, and Romance Writers of America RITA and Daphne du Maurier Award finalist, so at the moment I\u2019m very proud of it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. What is the hardest thing about being a romance author?<\/strong><br \/>\nSnide comments from people who haven\u2019t bothered reading the genre \u2013 but really, that\u2019s their problem, not mine. They are the ones missing out!<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. What is the best thing about being a romance author?<\/strong><br \/>\nFinishing a book, and giving characters I\u2019ve spent many months with an optimistic ending. Also, it\u2019s wonderful when readers fall in love with my characters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Who (aside from a significant other) do you swoon over?<\/strong><br \/>\nWhichever current hero I\u2019m writing! (Oh, and I may have a soft spot for Richard Armitage. And David Tennant. And Clive Owen.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. (I also finished my glittering film career there, too&#8230; acting is not my talent.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. What is your definition of a good book?<\/strong><br \/>\nOne that keeps me in its grip long after I\u2019ve read the last page, so that I have to keep reminding myself I\u2019m here, now, and no longer in the book\u2019s world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Which author would you invite to a dinner party and why?<\/strong><br \/>\nShakespeare. He\u2019d probably be the life of the party. (Unless he hid in a corner, muttering and scribbling like a mad writer under deadline.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Finish this sentence: I would do anything for love, but I won\u2019t _____<br \/>\n&#8230;<\/strong>give up chocolate.<\/p>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<p><em>Bronwyn Parry grew up surrounded by books, with a fascination for places, people and their stories. Bronwyn&#8217;s first novel, <\/em>As Darkness Falls<em>, won a prestigious Golden Heart Award from the Romance Writers of America for best romantic suspense manuscript. Her second novel, <\/em>Dark Country<em>, was named the best romantic suspense of 2009 by the Australian Romance Readers Association and was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America RITA Awards. An occasional academic, Bronwyn&#8217;s active interest in fiction and its readership is reflected in her PhD research and she is passionate about the richness, diversity, and value of popular fiction.
