Her debut YA novel,&nbsp;<em>It Sounded Better in My Head,<\/em>&nbsp;won the Text Prize and was a finalist for the American Library Association&#8217;s William C Morris Award, a CBCA notable book, as well as being shortlisted for the NSW Premier&#8217;s Literary Awards, the Queensland Literary Awards, the Russell Prize for Humour Writing, the Indie Book Awards and the Australian Book Industry Awards.&nbsp;<em>It Sounded Better in My Head<\/em>&nbsp;has been published in six languages, and optioned for film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dani Vee is host of the popular literary podcast&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/au\/podcast\/words-and-nerds-authors-books-and-literature\/id1303440513\" target=\"_blank\">Words and Nerds<\/a>. With over 52,000 listeners every month and more than 500 episodes, the podcast has become a significant part of the Australian literary community. She has interviewed Matthew Reilly, Trent Dalton, Jackie French, Tara Moss, Andy Griffiths and many many more.&nbsp;Dani also works in publicity and acquisitions at Larrikin House. She now lives an exceptionally normal existence and enjoys nothing more than sitting at her desk and using whatever wisdom she has garnered to write about how little she has learned along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Madeleine West is an Australian actress. She is known for her television roles, having played Dee Bliss and Andrea Somers on the soap opera <em>Neighbours<\/em> from 2000 to 2003 and on-off 2017 to 2020, high-class escort Mel from <em>Satisfaction<\/em> from 2007 to 2010, Dimity on <em>House Husbands<\/em> in 2013, Danielle McGuire in <em>Underbelly<\/em> and later <em>Fat Tony &amp; Co<\/em>.  She has also written a parenting book called <em>Six Under Eight<\/em>.
