It’s a big time for fans of Nicole Kidman in unsettling wigs, because she’s starring in her second TV adaptation of a Liane Moriarty novel. This time, it’s Nine Perfect Strangers<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, the 2018 novel about a wellness retreat with some seriously sinister vibes that proved to be a somewhat polarising read (we l<\/a>o<\/a>ved it<\/a><\/strong> though, Liane forever \u2764\ufe0f).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the prospect of another few weeks in lockdown is driving you to despair, this show might just be the thing to cheer you up. Filmed in Byron Bay by Hulu, the company that also brought you Normal People<\/em> and The Handmaid’s Tale<\/em>, there will be eight episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers<\/em> hitting your screen mid-August (no word yet on whether it’ll be a weekly release or a full drop). As well as our Nicole, it stars Asher Keddie alongside a host of big Hollywood names like Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Bobby Cannavale and Luke Evans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re still reeling from the ending of Big Little Lie<\/em>s or need something to tide you over until the release of Liane’s upcoming book, Apples Never Fall<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, Nine Perfect Strangers<\/em> looks set to be another deliciously deranged bit of TV to sink your teeth into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
