Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has announced a new children&#8217;s book, <em>The Ickabog<\/em>. It&#8217;s a standalone story that is unrelated to the world of Harry Potter (or Cormoran Strike, which is probably a good thing), and has been described by Rowling as &#8220;a story about truth and the abuse of power&#8221; in the form of a fairytale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theickabog.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"599\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.booktopia.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/i2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-125846\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.booktopia.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/i2.jpg 599w, https:\/\/www.booktopia.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/i2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is going to be available in November, but Rowling is releasing it in serialised form for free on her website, over the next seven weeks.
