By now, I\u2019m sure you\u2019re all aware that the 2020 Sydney Writers\u2019 Festival has been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As you can imagine, this is a devastating blow to Australia\u2019s vibrant writing and reading landscape, as well as to the wider arts industry as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In honour of the Festival\u2019s stellar lineup, we\u2019re putting out a few posts compiling interviews and guest posts on our blog from some of the authors who would have been appearing, as well as reviews from our staff of their books. (We\u2019ll also be reposting some of this content on our social media platforms.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a lesser substitute for what would have been a truly outstanding festival, but you can have a taste of what could have been and maybe derive some comfort from the words of these incredible authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
