David Walliams’ new book, The Beast of Buckingham Palace<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, has been announced and it sounds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kids (and booksellers) everywhere have been waiting anxiously for news about the next Walliams book, and The Beast of Buckingham Palace<\/em> is pretty much guaranteed to be one of the most requested Christmas presents of the year. Though the book is to be published on the 21st of November, details have been kept strictly under wraps – until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At last, we have a title, a cover and a description! Here’s what’s been released by HarperCollins:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year is 2120. London is in ruins, the people are hungry and darkness has fallen across the world. Prince Alfred, a sickly boy of 12, has never known life outside Buckingham Palace. But evil forces are at work, and soon Alfred must do battle with the King of the Beasts \u2013 the Griffin.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Walliams says that this new book represents something of a different direction for his writing.<\/p>\n\n\n
