Love books and a smooth gin?
We have exciting news! Booktopia has partnered with Archie Rose Distilling Co. to conceive a limited edition The Writer’s Gin! This product is also in collaboration with Evi O Studio and Michael Williams, the editor of The Monthly Magazine🍸📚
Made to be lost in and to craft a mood that stays with you as you read or write.
The Writers Gin is an indulgent sip featuring Australian peach, native thyme, raspberry and lemon myrtle botanicals, and pairs perfectly with your favourite tonic and novel of your choice.

If you’re lacking in good reads, place an order for the Archie Rose Book Club pack which will deliver you a bottle of The Writer’s Gin, a bookmark designed by Evi-O Studio, and two books including gripping psychological thriller Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton and The Bookbinder of Jericho by bestselling author Pip Williams. Better yet, upgrade and add on a glassware set by unique global glassware phenomenon Maison Balzac!
To celebrate The Writers Gin launch, Archie Rose is also hosting a book club event at The Library Bar nestled within the State Library of NSW on 25 July. Tickets to the book club starring special guest, Michael Williams are also available exclusively through the Archie Rose website.
The label design artwork features a quote from iconic author Helen Garner that says: “Every page of writing is the result of a thousand tiny decisions and desperate acts of will”, in testament to the agony and ecstasy of writing and to the authors who persist. The Writer’s Gin wholeheartedly embodies this sense of artistic passion and purpose.

Tickets to the in-person event will not be included in the purchase of The Writer’s Gin + books bundle and are to be purchased separately here. Guests are also welcome to purchase tickets to the event without an initial gin purchase.
Available online via the Archie Rose website, as well as at the Cellar Door in Rosebery, NSW. The books and Maison Balzac sets are exclusive to the Archie Rose website.

We think The Writer’s Gin from Archie Rose is a must-try for anyone looking for a delicious, high-quality gin with a literary twist. Whether you’re a writer or simply appreciate a good drink, this limited edition gin is sure to impress.
