But she didn’t count on returning to her awkward and all-too-recent high-school experiences for her first writing assignment.
When her piece, about her non-existent dating life, goes viral, eighteen-year-old Zoe is overwhelmed and more than a little surprised by the response. Wild in Captivity
by Samanthe Beck
Ambitious L.A. lawyer Isabelle Marcano would rather run a mile in her Manolos than fly off to rustic Captivity, Alaska. But close the client’s sale successfully and her firm will find room on the letterhead for one more name. Still, taking a career detour to a place that doesn’t even have a Starbucks sounds like the seventh level of hell.
Then her best friend points out the town has something stronger on tap than caffeine. Testosterone. With two single men to every single woman, this assignment might just be the best thing to happen to her sex life since the invention of the waterproof Rabbit. Two Houses
by Suleena Bibra
If there’s one thing Priya Gupta wants, it’s to land the collection of the year for her family’s NYC auction house, gaining the approval of her father in the process. Running an extremely close second? For a very small sinkhole to open up under the feet of Gavin Carlyle, her childhood rival turned auction-house competitor, so she never has to see his smug, irritatingly handsome face again.
Neither of those options seem likely, especially since Gavin is dead set on winning the same collection — and his pockets are as deep as his family’s extensive art world connections. Plus, he has charm to spare. Though Priya would walk over hot coals before ever admitting that.

Amy’s Favourite of the Month!
As an extra treat each month, I usually spotlight one of my fave authors. This month I am bringing you the fabulous Marion Lennox!!
Marion, who lives in Victoria, has written over a hundred romance novels since she was first published in Harlequin’s medical line in 1990. She has been a finalist in the prestigious RITA awards in the US a dozen times, taking the golden statue home twice and, a RUBY finalist (the Australian equivalent of the RITA) on a whopping 23 occasions, of which she won 3 times. In 2017, Marion was inducted into the RWA (Australia) Hall of Fame.
Yes, here in Romancelandia Marion is a rock star! Unfortunately, many Australians have never even heard of some of their most loved, internationally bestselling authors like Marion, purely because they write romance, which is sad indeed.
On a personal level, you couldn’t meet a warmer, more generous writer than Marion. She’s always ready to give a hand up or a shout out to newbies in the ranks, and she offers support, advice and praise unstintingly. This generosity of spirit is reflected in her books. If you’re after deeply emotional and heart-warmingly satisfying — with dogs! — reads, then she is the author for you! The best way I can describe Marion’s books is like a cosy blanket on a cold day which cocoons you in a world populated by good people, supportive communities and a resoundingly lovely HEA. Simply put, this mega star Aussie author writes utterly delightful love stories.
Now, when an author has such a massive backlist it is hard to recommend just one, but today I give you Home to Turtle Bay.
Dr Jennifer Kelly has reached the pinnacle of her career as a successful Manhattan obstetrician, complete with an ambitious, blue–blooded fiancé. After a desolate childhood with a distant grandmother, life seems like everything she’s ever wanted.
When a grandfather she’s never heard of leaves her a dairy farm on an isolated Australian island – plus one depressed dog, thirty geriatric cows and a bunch of ancient surfboards – she plans a quick trip to put the farm up for sale. Once there, Jenny finds herself caught, by cows, by turtles – and by Jack McLachlan, the overworked island doctor who desperately needs her help.

Oh Amy, your blogs are always fabulous, but this one has highlighted one of my favourite books ever! Home to Turtle Bay is a diamond of a book, it’s got everything a great read needs, it’s uplifting, it’s fun, it’s romantic, it’s got a dog and baby turtles and even big ones and a gorgeous heroine in oversized pyjamas with a surf school and her match in the gorgeous Dr Jack. But why wouldn’t it be great when it’s written by such an awesome author? Ah, blissful sigh, I need to reread. Thank you for the jog.
