
The contenders for the second annual $5,000 Favourite Australian Book (FAB) Award have been unveiled!
127 books made the shortlist, which was chosen by Booktopia staff members – and what tough choices we had to make! 2020 was a year like no other, and the quality of the books that were published was truly special.

Last year, the winning book was 488 Rules for Life by Kitty Flanagan, which came out on top after 10,000 people cast a combined 50,000 votes.
This year’s longlist of contenders include Trent Dalton, Craig Silvey, Jane Harper, Julia Baird, Richard Flanagan and Dervla McTiernan.

Round 2 Voting (Top Ten): 25 January – 31 January
Winner Announced: 3 February
