Hello everyone, I’m baaaaaaack and welcome once more to Romancelandia! The land of rainbows, unicorns and multiple orgasms. Why wouldn’t you want to be here??
Seriously though, it’s tough out there in the world at the moment and I don’t think I’m on my lonesome when it comes to escaping it all in a good book. Nobody should feel guilty about that. So no, Romancelandia’s not about ignoring what’s going in the world – on the contrary, regular readers will know that romance novels can and do tackle the big issues – but we are here for a damn good distraction and spreading a little love in this time of Covid-19.
So, come on in. I have a pitcher of Margaritas this month and a great selection of what’s out now for your reading pleasure. There’s a bunch of Australian authors – of course! – as well as some non-Aussies, and all are available via Booktopia so just click on the covers if something takes your fancy!
Here are my current Aussie romance faves!
Marry In Haste by Anne Gracie
Major Calbourne Rutherford returns to England on the trail of an assassin, only to find he’s become Lord Ashendon, with the responsibility for vast estates and dependent relatives. Cal can command the toughest of men, but his wild half-sisters are quite another matter. They might just be his undoing.
When he discovers that Miss Emmaline Westwood, the girls’ former teacher, guides them with ease, Cal offers her a marriage of convenience. But strong-minded and independent Emm is neither as compliant nor as proper as he expected, and Cal finds himself most inconveniently seduced by his convenient wife.
Emm knows they didn’t marry for love, yet beneath her husband’s austere facade, she catches glimpses of a man who takes her breath away. As pride, duty and passion clash, will these two stubborn hearts find more than they ever dreamed of?

How To Catch An Errant Earl by Amy Rose Bennett
After being expelled from a young ladies’ academy, it seems Miss Arabella Jardine will never find a well-connected husband. Not that she minds. A bluestocking at heart, she’d rather bury her nose in a medical text than wed. When Arabella is forced to accompany her family on a Grand Tour in Switzerland, she unexpectedly encounters the irresistible rakehell-in-exile, Gabriel, the Earl of Langdale. Arabella soon realises the only thing worse than getting married to a charismatic but unrepentant rake would be to fall in love with him.
Dubbed the Errant Earl by the ton, Gabriel Holmes-Fitzgerald is no stranger to scandal. However, when Gabriel is caught in flagrante with the utterly delectable Arabella Jardine, he’s obliged to offer for her hand. He’ll endeavour to do the right thing even though he’s not a prize catch. He’ll certainly never let Arabella get close enough to discover the demons of his dark past. Indeed, there is one particular demon out to destroy Gabriel by exposing a long-buried family secret.
Soon Gabriel and Arabella find they are not just battling overwhelming desire, but in a fight to save their future together.

Amy’s Favourite of the Month!
As an extra treat each month, I’m going to be recommending one of my fave reads to you. Choosing just one a month will be hard because I could probably recommend a dozen, but I’m putting on my big girl panties and going for it. This month it’s So Wild by Eve Dangerfield, which is book one in The Silver Daughter’s Ink series and set in a family run tattoo parlour in Melbourne.
As a teenager, Samantha DaSilva had two interests: running wild and messing with her posh neighbour. The neighbour moved away — the coward — but the wild kept right on going. At least it did until her hippie father vanished, leaving her in charge of the family tattoo studio. As Sam struggles to keep the business afloat her childhood nemesis returns, taller, blonder and more offensively gorgeous than ever.
As a teenager, the wildest thing Scott Sanderson did was get a crush on Sam DaSilva. When that blew up in his face he moved to London to pursue realistic goals and girls who didn’t set fire to his underwear. When unexpected circumstances pull Scott back into Sam’s orbit, he’s shocked to discover he’s still in love with a woman who doesn’t own a phone. And who hasn’t forgiven a thing.
As Sam and Scott struggle to make sense of their mutual attraction, they confront some of life’s biggest questions — can you ever really get over the past? Is it better to be safe or sorry? Is a spanking adequate punishment for putting someone’s virginity on eBay?

Now…recommending just one of Eve’s books is really, really difficult because I have loved ALL her books. She’s a Melbourne indie author who writes funny, insightful, irreverent romances. There’s a special kind of charm to her stories that you just fall in love with and the way she handles kink, which tends to feature in a lot of her books, is with such naturalness you’re instantly there for it and rooting for her wonderfully down-to-earth characters. Eve has what we call in the business voice, and if you like a side of laughter in your romance reads then she won’t disappoint.
She’s taking a bit of a break from romance at the moment to write a mystery novel and I, for one, cannot wait to see what she produces. Lucky for us, Booktopia has partnered with Kobo to bring you a massive range of e-books to purchase, which means all Eve’s indie backlist is there so go forth and click because it is awesome!
Okay – that’s the rundown this month. I hope you join me next month in Romancelandia – until then, stay safe and happy reading!

Nothing But Trouble

But just when she finally gives her notice, his father’s health fails, and Wade whisks her back to his hometown. CC will stay for his dad—for now—even if that means ignoring how sexy her boss is starting to look in his Wranglers.
To say CC’s notice is a bombshell is an insult to bombs. Wade can’t imagine his life without his “left tackle.” She’s the only person who can tell him “no” and strangely, it’s his favourite quality. He’ll do anything to keep her from leaving, even if it means playing dirty and dragging her back to Credence, Colorado, with him...
