The 2020 ABIAs longlist has been announced!
The ABIAs are the Australian Book Industry Awards, an annual celebration of Australian publishing that rewards the achievements of authors and publishers alike.
The awards are given out over a number of categories, from literary fiction to illustrated books. The books on the longlist are determined first by the ABIA Academy (consisting of more than 200 industry professionals), before a judging panel decides on the shortlist and the overall winners.
The shortlist will be revealed on the 9th of April, with the winners to be announced at a lavish ceremony in Sydney on the 29th of April.
