Looking for Alaska casting news

In case you aren’t aware John Green’s award winning novel, Looking for Alaska, is being adapated by Hulu as an 8 episode limited TV series.

The two main characters have now been cast with Kristine Froseth in the role of Alaska and Charlie Plummer as Miles “Pudge” Halter.

“It was really special to have a conversation with the people who will become Miles and Alaska. I’m so grateful to them and everyone involved in the Looking for Alaska series.” – John Green

Kristine Froseth is currently starring in The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair alongside Patrick Dempsey and is also known for her role in Sierra Burgess is a Loser – a recent Netflix teen movie based on Cyrano de Bergerac.

Charlie Plummer has had roles in Boardwalk Empire and Granite Flats and has also been cast in the upcoming film, Spontaneous, based on the book of the same name by Aaron Starmer.

Film and TV rights sold for Helen Hoang’s The Kiss Quotient

A biding war has ended with Pilgrim Media Group acquiring film, TV and other media rights for The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang.

The Kiss Quotient was published in June this year and has been extremely well received by readers. Now in it’s fifth print run, the quirky romantic comedy follows the story of a brilliant woman with Asperger’s syndrome who takes a rather unconventional approach to finding love.

“We are so excited to bring Helen’s exceptional novel to the big screen. The Kiss Quotient gives us a protagonist not often seen in romantic comedies, and it does so in a fun, heartfelt, and thoroughly human way that everyone can relate to.” – Craig Piligian, President and CEO of Pilgrim Media Group.
