Romantic Book of the Year: Who are the 2017 finalists?

The Romantic Book of the Year Award, affectionately known as the RUBY, is the Romance Writers of Australia’s premier award celebrating the best romantic fiction from Australian and NZ authors, across four categories.

This year, Booktopia has the honour of announcing the FINALISTS! Scroll down to discover the 2017 finalists in each category. 

The winners will be announced at the Romance Writer’s of Australia conference in August. 2017 Long Romance Finalists

Escaping Mr Right by Avril Tremayne, The Grazier’s Wife by Barbara Hannay and The War Bride by Pamela Hart.

2017 Novella Finalists

Santa and the Saddler by Cathryn Hein, Swept Away Fiona Marsden (part of Beautiful Disaster anthology), and Unexplored by Anna Hackett.

2017 Romantic Elements Finalists

A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald by Natasha Lester, Legacy of Hunters Ridge by Sarah Barrie, Mackenzie Crossing by Kaye Dobbie, and Numbered by Amy Andrews and Ros Baxter.

2017 Short Romance Finalists

Breaking Good by Madeline Ash, The Most Scandalous Ravensdale by Melanie Milburne, Unwrapping His Convenient Fiancee by Melanie Milburne.
