COMING IN 2012: iSteve: The Book of Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Walter Isaacson is writing the exclusive biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, to be published by Simon & Schuster in the US and Little, Brown in the UK in early 2012.

iSteve: The Book of Jobs will be drawn from three years of exclusive and unprecedented interviews with Steve Jobs. Isaacson began work on the book in 2009 and has conducted extensive interviews with Mr. Jobs and family members, as well as key colleagues from Apple and competitors.

Walter Isaacson began his career in journalism at The Sunday Times. He joined TIME in 1978 and served as a political correspondent, national editor and editor of new media before becoming the magazine’s editor in 1996. He became Chairman and CEO of CNN in 2001, and then president and CEO of the Aspen Institute in 2003. He was appointed by President Obama to be the Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors in 2009. Walter Isaacson was educated at Oxford University, as a Rhodes Scholar, at Pembroke College.

Ursula Mackenzie and Tim Whiting bought UK & Commonwealth rights in the book from Amanda Urban of International Creative Management and Gordon Wise of Curtis Brown UK. Ursula Mackenzie CEO of Little, Brown said:
