Paris Cutler’s first book Planet Cake was an incredible success, inviting cake decorators into her studio to show them the skills and tips that anyone can master to create their own stunning cakes. Now Paris turns the spotlight on the perennially popular cupcake, setting a new standard for decoration and appealing to both aspiring sugarcrafters and cake decorators as well as home cooks who are ready to tackle something more challenging than standard icing and frosting.

Planet Cake Cupcakes includes 20 different cupcake designs, a comprehensive basics section with photos and trouble-shooting tips, and features all of the icing and decorating techniques that have made Paris an internationally recognised name in sugarcraft.

The cupcakes range from simple yet stunning designs to more complex ones for all occasions, including birthdays and weddings

From stencilling and cut-outs to three-dimensional character modelling, there’s a funky design for every occasion.

Paris Cutler has always been passionate about cake making and loves the joy and amazement that cakes evoke in her friends and customers. Paris bought Planet Cake, a small cake-decorating studio in Sydney, in 2003, and has steered it to international renown.

As well as producing great works of cake art for celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Rihanna, Celine Dion and gourmets alike, Paris runs popular cake-decorating classes through her schools across Australia, which attract students from around the world.
