The Power – a new book by Rhonda Byrne

We are thrilled to announce that a new book by Rhonda Byrne, The Power, will be released on August 17, 2010.

The Power is the handbook to the greatest power in the universe – The Power to have anything you want.

Without The Power, you would not have been born. Without The Power, there wouldn’t be a single human being on the planet. Every discovery, invention, and human creation comes from The Power. Perfect health, incredible relationships, a career you love, a life filled with happiness, and the money you need to be, do, and have everything you want, all come from The Power.

The life of your dreams has always been closer to you than you realized, because The Power – to have everything good in life – is inside you.

To create anything, to change anything, all it takes is just one thing… THE POWER!

Before The Power came The Secret:

The Secret reveals the most powerful law in the universe. The knowledge of this law has run like a golden thread through the lives and the teachings of all the prophets, seers, sages and saviours in the world’s history, and through the lives of all truly great men and women. All that they have ever accomplished or attained has been done in full accordance with this most powerful law.

Without exception, every human being has the ability to transform any weakness or suffering into strength, power, perfect peace, health, and abundance.

Rhonda Byrne’s discovery of The Secret began with a glimpse of the truth through a 100 year old book. She went back through centuries, tracing and uncovering a common truth that lay at the core of the most powerful philosophies, teachings and religions in the world.

What Rhonda discovered is now captured in The Secret, a film that has been viewed by millions around the world. The Secret has also been released as an audio-book and printed book with more than 16 million copies in print in over 40 languages.

The Secret reveals the natural law that is governing all lives. By applying the knowledge of this law, you can change every aspect of your life.

This is the secret to prosperity, health, relationships and happiness. This is the secret to life.

Author, Creator, Executive Producer of The Secret, and Author of The Power

Rhonda Byrne’s intention is: joy to billions.

Rhonda began her journey with The Secret film, viewed by millions across the planet. She followed with The Secret book, a worldwide best seller available in 46 languages.

In The Secret Rhonda revealed the law of attraction. In her new book, The Power, Rhonda continues her groundbreaking work by revealing the single greatest force in our universe.

Rhonda uncovers The Secret

In early September 2004, Rhonda discovered an unfailing principle that underlies every aspect of our lives. She was astonished that this life-transforming information was not widely known and practiced. In that moment, Rhonda made it her life’s focus to share this knowledge with all people around the world, so that billions could powerfully transform and improve their lives.

Rhonda immediately began studying the work of the world’s finest minds – great thinkers, artists, scientists, inventors, discoverers, and philosophers – drawing from fields as divergent as quantum physics, metaphysics, psychology, and religion. She found again and again that the knowledge of this one principle had run like a golden thread through the lives and the teachings of all the prophets, seers, sages, and saviors in the world’s history, and through the lives of all truly great men and women.

Already a successful television and film producer, Rhonda began practising what she learned, and used The Secret to make the film The Secret.

Millions have viewed the film since its release in March 2006, and the book The Secret has been a New York Times bestseller since its release in November 2006, with more than 19 million copies in print.

Rhonda writes The Power

In The Power, Rhonda shares the essence of everything she has learned since The Secret was released. As part of her continuing journey of discovery, and her daily practice of the law of attraction, Rhonda gained extraordinary new levels of insights. The Power is the book she was compelled to write.

Readers of The Power will come to understand that the life of their dreams has always been closer than they realized. Perfect health, incredible relationships, a career you love, a life filled with happiness and the money you need to be, do, and have everything you want, all come from The Power. To create anything, to change anything, all it takes is just one thing.

Rhonda’s background

Rhonda was born in Australia and began her career as a radio producer before moving into television production. Many of her shows won industry awards and were screened in major countries outside Australia. Rhonda’s experience, background, and skill in film and television production were instrumental in the creation of The Secret film.

In May of 2007, Rhonda Byrne was recognized as one of the world’s most influential people in TIME magazine’s “The TIME 100: The People Who Shape Our World”, and shortly afterwards appeared in Forbes’ “The Celebrity 100” list. Rhonda currently lives outside of Los Angeles.

Can’t wait to read The Power. Loved The Secret.

Every intelligent being exisiting on our planet will recognise immediately that this so called “new” book is yet another plagiarised version of Vanessa Bonnette’s magnificent publication – “Empowered for the New Era” (second edition). Released in 2007, Vanessa removed her book from the market in 2009 due to ongoing plagiarism and substantial theft of content resulting in losses amounting to millions. Vanessa now works with an international humanitarian organisation assisting persons with disabilities to pursue their potential.

2007? The Secret movie was released in 2006. So how do you claim plagiarism?

I may be naive, but would this not suggest that Vanessa Bonnette’s ‘Empowered’ state was not so effective after all – or, maybe, just maybe, none of the ideas in ‘Empowered for the New Era’, ‘The Secret’ or ‘The Power’ are new but are the natural state, put into words, of any selfish, inward looking mind, frustrated at the world for not giving them all of the things they so dearly want and haven’t the gumption to work hard for?

congratulations to Rhoda Byrne, for another lucrative idea. she is going to make millions, yet again….and why not…..there are a lot of people looking for answers to the questions of life, who are willing to buy the book. I read “the secret” and failed to see the excitement. most of the contents and advise given in the book , to me is common sense. The gist of it, is if you put your mind to it, you can do anything—I agree that the power of ones mind can help one achieve amazing things, however, the main message, as far as I understood was, that you can be or do anything you want to be. This might be applycable to someone like Rhonda. and a lot of other people in the western world, but go and give this kind of pep talk to somone who is born in a famine and war stricken area in Africa …or an american who wants to be president and who’s faith happens to be Islam…..example……etc..

I don’t trust this woman she tried to seduce and deceive Esther Hicks and many others to get what she wanted … She attracted David Schirmer who should be renamed David Scammer … this woman is an opportunist just another “word” plucked out of thin air with the same script as the secret …

How could she have “discovered” the law of attraction if it has already existed forever…and when many other authors published books about it BEFORE her? What a twit. She seeks worship…and power herself…as the latest title suggests.

I would say that The Secret has inspired me to go through life with a more positive attitude. It also inspired me to discover more about the secrets of life.

Oh these reviews infuriate me…for those commenting so negatively, read past the marketing if you’re so intelligent and sink your teeth into the message.

It is selfish to claim this is ‘common sense’. Who are you Jesus? Thinking nor acting positively DOES NOT come naturally to most humans for the simple fact that we are human. Anyone with compassion and common sense could figure that out.

Yes, the message has been around for a long time, in different interpretations. Try a search for ‘The Master Key System’ by Charles Haanel written in 1912, or ‘Dynamic Thought’ by Henry Hamblin written in 1923 for example…and who knows where ‘they’ got their information from, so really anything written post-1940, or even earlier, is likely to be a derivative and personal/experiential interpretation of the same message.

This is Byrne’s interpretation, and what is wrong with it being done with enough attention grabbing flair needed to pass on the message? How come when something is wrapped up with decent advertising, all of a sudden its credentials are lost? Tall poppies?
