Biodiversity Dreaming was the name of a conference held in November 2015 as part of the commemoration of the proclamation of the settlement of Bathurst in May 1815 as Australia's first inland European settlement. The conference brought together Indigenous Australians, resource scientists, farmers and conservationists to reflect on the impacts of 200 years of European stewardship on the Central Western Region of NSW. The proceedings describe the impacts of European occupation since 1815 on Indigenous people and on the biodiversity values of what are now Australia's oldest inland agricultural lands. The Proceedings are divided into three sections - The land and its people; The land and environment; and managing for the future.
