Notes from the Road... To an outsider, the road seemed heady, exciting, glamorous. Rock concerts. Jet set locales. Plush, custom tour buses. Real life between rock and a suitcase, however, was quite another matter. There were challenges to be met, created by close quarters and oversized egos. Pressure to be withstood, as when ambitious schedule met capricious weather. For the author, years of extended travel and impersonal hotel rooms began to take their toll. Seeking serenity and a reconnection with his soul, he found peace and release in writing, often between the fading echoes of an incendiary musical performance and the insistent ring of a hotel wake-up call. His compilation of poems and prose, reflecting his thoughts and experiences of love, friendship, fear, faith, despair, hope and passion, will inspire and resonate with you, as they have with his family, friends and countless fellow travelers.
