Have you ever wondered why a butterfly lives for only a few weeks? Or why a tree lives for hundreds of year?

You may have been sad when someone in your family, or a favourite pet became sick and died.

There is a beginning and an ending to everything that is alive. In between is a lifetime. Dying is a much a part of living as being born.

I couldn't believe how fast this order came!

This is a lovley book for children to learn about death and how it affects everything. I ordered the books one day and they arrived the next day!

I recommend this book that deals with death so well

Everything has a beginning and end and what's in the middle is called Lifetime. This books explores long and short lifetimes of insects, animals and humans in a sensitive manner. I share or gift this book frequently to those needing to talk or discuss death and lifetimes. Best read by adults alone (for a private cry) before sharing with little ones.

Such a beautiful simplistic explanation about life and death

5

I searched for a book in the lead up to a death in the family, as it turns out we had two deaths of immediate family members in 2 weeks. I was concerned about how to put death in perspective for my boys and nephew. Many books I found quite confronting and traumatising, but this one was perfect. Beautiful illustrations and the story follows a pattern of life. I am forever thankful for finding this book.

When children ask why living things die

5

After two recent burials of birds in our garden, being an atheist, I needed a non-denominational book that explains to my five and four year old daughters, why all living things die. This book served my purpose well
