A calculating killer, who 'trophies' the faces of his victims, is targeting Londoners. Under enormous pressure from politicians and the public, DCI Jack Hawksworth and his team begin their investigation, which takes them into the murky world of human organ trading.

But when the murderer strikes closer to home than Jack could ever have imagined possible, the case becomes a personal crusade - and a race against time. Can the killer be brought to justice before Jack is removed from the operation? From London's backstreets to the dangerous frontiers of medicine, Beautiful Death will keep you reading late into the night.

About the Author

Fiona McIntosh grew up in Britain's south coast and worked in PR in London's west end before she began travelling, and finally settled in Australia. Roaming the world for the travel industry became her career before setting up business with husband, Ian, in travel magazine publishing. After sixteen years she swapped careers to move into full-time writing as a novelist. These days her popular fiction is sold across all English speaking markets and translated into various European languages. Her debut crime novel, Bye Bye Baby, was set in her hometown of Brighton, England, and was Highly Commended in the 2008 Sisters in Crime Davitt Awards. Fiona moves between Adelaide and the Huon Valley in Tasmania's south with Ian and their twin teenage sons. She contributes to travel regularly for her research, inspiration and the world's finest hot chocolate.

Cutting edge thrills

This thriller leads you into unexpected London subcultures and picks up themes of displaced people and cutting edge medical science (quite literally). The characters are well developed and the suspense is heightened by the interaction between them. The plot is intricately developed and yet you will be surprised by the resolution.
