It is nineteen sixty four, three weeks before Christmas. For the past week, sixty five year old Bud Davis has been having vivid and startling dreams of his life, and growing up in Avinger, Texas. It was the time of the great depression.
Now, told through these dreams and remembrances, AVINGER is the story of one man trying to come to terms with how he has been affected by his past.
"I've always been more comfortable reaching back to my past, rather than running toward my future. It's where I've always been the happiest." The only way for Bud Davis to stay in this place of his dreams, will be to die.
This is a tale of sadness, regret, and peaceful joy...
