When Liam and Mary's mum and dad bring their new baby brother home from the hospital they also bring some presents: for Mary, some building blocks and for Liam, a family of hippos. But the baby hippo of the family keeps going missing. First he gets eaten by a crocodile, then trampled by an elephant until finally the littlest hippo gets stuck after taking a swim in the toilet.

About the Author

All at Sea is Gerry Byrne's first book for children. He is a Consultant Nurse and Child Psychotherapist and a highly-regarded expert in his field. He was a consultant on Silly Billy by Anthony Browne and has published on Anthony's work from a psychoanalytic perspective. He's a father of five and passionate about stories, Irish traditional music and writing. Gerry lives in Oxfordshire.

About the Illustrator

Faye Hanson graduated from Cambridge School of Art in 2008. Since graduating she has worked for a huge range of companies, including Visa and her first picture book, The Wychwood Fairies, was published by Macmillan Children's Books in 2010. Her most recent picture book, The Wonder was nominated for the 2016 Kate Greenaway Medal. Faye lives in London.
