well suited for my needs
I never had the opportunity to take piano lessons as a child, but I would long to be able to play. So as an adult I saved up enough money to purchase a good quality electric piano and begin taking lessons, and was lucky enough to come across the positive reviews for this book. I have used this book for 2 lessons with my piano teacher and I find it really easy to understand and follow. Though you could probably learn from it yourself, I recommend getting a piano teacher, it makes you way more motivated and it's nice to support an artist. I would have probably bought the deluxe version of this book if I had seen it first though, called 'Alfred's basic adult all in one'. It isn't much more expensive, and it combines a few of the accompanying books together.
Great starting piano resource.
Very efficient starting book for adult learners. The pieces are interesting and well arranged, while the well-paced speed of learning keeps the momentum going.
