An insightful book for those who don't want to miss God's blessings.

Author, Susan Barnes, explores God's longing to bless his people with his love, peace and joy. Susan shares real-life stories and practical insights that are grounded in Scripture to develop a better understanding of his desire to bless. With empathy and wisdom, she explains how these blessings can reshape your perspective and build your confidence in God's character.

Isaiah prophesies that God's people will be known as a blessed people. "Everyone will realize that they are a people the LORD has blessed" (Isaiah 61:9). When people look at our lives do they notice something different about us because God has blessed us?

God wants to bless us more than we want to be blessed. The problem with God's willingness to bless, is it can make the recipient feel vulnerable, inadequate, or incompetent. Some would rather toughen up and act like they don't need God. Or they'd rather God bless them just a little bit, enough to have an easy life but not so much that it makes them feel uncomfortable.

Until we are Christlike, God always has more for us-more joy, surprises, grace, empathy, love, hope, plans, peace, and victories, so many blessings. The Christian life is exciting because God always has something more for us. If you're bored with the Christian life, you aren't living it as God intended.

The blessings of God come to those who have an open heart and open hands to receive them. The book presents a fresh perspective on God's goodness and encourages readers to be open to receiving his many blessings.
