About the Author
Jessie grew up on the north coast of New South Wales in a bush house set in lush rainforest. At the age of twenty-two, after travelling for three years, she returned to Australia with a renewed interest in living a simple life and having a limited impact on the natural environment. Jessie first started to practise yoga postures in 1991, exploring the effects yoga has on the body and mind, and observing how it brings out the best in people. She learnt under many dedicated teachers who enriched her passion for yoga and her understanding of it. Jessie went on to study and work in various healing arts, recognising in yoga the key to living a healthy and harmonious life. In 1997-98 she studied a yoga teaching training course with Louise Sear from Yoga Arts in Byron Bay. Yoga has been an enormous source of enjoyment in Jessie's life. This has inspired her to record her experiences to encourage beginners in the art of yoga.
