Wilfred is a small boy who lives next door to an old people's home. He likes all the people who live there, but his favourite person of all is Miss Nancy Alison Delacourt Cooper, because she has four names just as he does. So when Wilfrid discovers that Miss Nancy has lost her memory, it is only natural that he should set off to help her find it.

A favourite of mine. I remember this book being read to me when when I was in school, and now I read is constantly to my students.
With a relevant topic sewn throughout, this book is a wonderful way to assess and gage young readers in their reading and comprehension skills. It sparks imagination and allows a reader to see the true beauty in a well written book.
