Every day all over the world, children are laughing and crying, playing and learning, eating and sleeping. They may not look the same. They may not speak the same language. Their lives may be quite different. But inside, they are all alike.

      Comments about Whoever You Are:

This is a beautiful book and I have bought numerous copies over the years as a gift for every newborn child I visit (in lieu of a card). I originally purchased for my daughter when she was a preschooler and I remember a note her teacher wrote in her journal. Apparently they were discussiong some racism that had been in the news at the time and she asked her teacher if she felt that the mother of the politician involved had read him the same books as her mum had. When questioned why, she answered that if she had, then he would know that we were all the same on the inside. That is the power of this wonderfully written and illustrated book.
