Comments about Veganomicon:
Being in Australia, there are quite a few ingredients that are difficult to find. I did find the recipes more gourmet than everyday, but it was definitely inspiring. Wasn't a huge fan of the style of writing in the introduction, but the recipes themselves were clear and easy to follow.
Comments about Veganomicon:
I use this book every day!! It's funny, easily to understand, helpful, creative ad has amazing dishes. Majority are for the everyday but then there are some recipes that are good for if you want to impress those that think being vegan is boring! Without this book I think I would have been eating the same thing most of the time. There are even meal ideas at the back of the book that put recipes together (eg. a Mexican themed meal). The recipes may have some ingedients that aren't in you pantry but they are easy enough to buy at the supermarket or local health food store.
Comments about Veganomicon:
I bought this book for my sister-in-law who is vegan. It has some great recipes and made making a vegan friendly Christmas very easy.
Don't let the lack of glossy photos dissuade you from investing in this very comprehensive book. Although I am not vegan the recipes are tasty, well written and easy to follow. It goes to show that being vegan doesn't have to be boring!
