Penny is a lonely little girl who gazes out her window at night and pretends that the stars are her friends. Then, one night, a shooting star lands in her garden. Together, the chased the quietness away, and fill the night with giggle and bounce. They even shared a secret or two. Before too long, Little Star has to return to the sky-with Penny's help. Charming, gently humorous and beautifully illustrated.

Comments about Twinkle:
I ended up buying this book after my 3 year old had borrowed it from the library each week for 2 months!! She loves Nick bland but this particular story she adores - we read it at least once a day, along with her other Nick bland favourite, runaway hug of course! The lead character penny pasketti is my daughters favourite book character of all time, and she talks about her all the time, if you haven't read this to your kids - you need to.
