Imagine you are looking at the top or bottom of the book so you can see the edge of the pages while the book is closed. (This is not the front cover, not the back cover nor the spine. It also not the edge opposite the spine.) On one of those other edges there will be a black pen mark to indicate this has been sold off as a brand new book but they had too many in stock and we bought it at a cheap price for you. The purpose of explaining this in detail is because if it is for a gift then you will need to know that it has the mark and not be disappointed when it arrives. Not all remainder books get marked but in this instance it has. This is one of the reasons it is available at such a good price. Once again, it is a brand new book.
With regard to this specific book it is an absolute beauty for girls aged 7 to 11. Easy books to read and it even has 16 colour photos from the TV series in the middle which are pretty good.
