Enjoyed it, though I could have enjoyed it a lot more.

Follow Celaena Sardothien, "the worlds best assassin" on a journey to freedom. Okay. Light reading, steady pace, not too bad.

But "the worlds best assassin", sorry, NO.
Pity it wasn't pitched with Calaena's cover story of Jewel Thief, that I could have believed, and would leave room growth and advancement, and probably would have rated it an 8/10. I can't even believe Assassin, let alone the worlds best, she is missing an entire skill-set here. And this is not a gender bias thing, many of our history's great assassins were women, and I'll even accept that some of them possibly did obsess over clothes and looks. Though I'll put money they weren't doing that on the job, distracted assassins don't tend to live long. And her level of awareness is just not going to let her be a good assassin, let alone the worlds best.

I still managed to appreciate ToG, but constant reminders of the flaws in the main argument were a serious distraction, and drag the score down to 5/10.

This book was original and exciting. The main character was an amazing strong indipendent women! The plot is epic and evil! The action is detailed, realistic and rational. With a lot of plot twists this series is worth attention.
