The brand new epic fantasy series from international bestseller Brandon Sanderson.

The entire world is at war with itself - and has been for centuries since the Radiants turned against mankind. Kings strive to win more Shardblades, each secretly wishing to be the one who will finally unite all of mankind under a single throne.

On a world scoured down to the rock by terrifying hurricanes that blow through every few days is a young spearman, forced into the army of a Shardbearer, led to war against an enemy he doesn't understand and doesn't really want to fight.

What happened deep in mankind's past? Why did the Radiants turn against mankind, and what happened to the magic they used to wield?

I loved the way this story unfolds, many many layers and complex characters that have rich histories. Makes you want to be there helping the good guys and beating up the bad ones.

Comments about The Way of Kings Part 1:

This is one of the best written books I've read in a long time. That includes this genre as well as others. Interesting characters, original story, superb writing. No needless waffling or immature characters/storylines. Only problem is that the series is not finished.

The Way of Kings Part 1 manages to grip you from the very first page and doesn't let go, it's a powerful and somewhat mesmerising start to a very promising series and one which I intend to follow very closely indeed. SFBOOK.COM
