Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer. His first creation was Battle Pope, which he co-wrote with Tony Moore, and in 2003 they began the comic book series The Walking Dead, set in a George A. Romero zombie movie-inspired world.

People who love the T.V. will like the comic books but don't expect a similar story arc. The show has expanded the plot-lines beyond the bare bones of the comic, which rushes forward as fast as it can. Not for the sqweemish though as its VERY violent and has some very adult themes in there.
