John Flanagan makes a spectacular return to the world of Ranger's Apprentice - but what has happened since you last saw Will and his friends might shock you!

John Flanagan makes a spectacular return to the world of Ranger's Apprentice - but what has happened since you last saw Will and his friends might shock you!

Will took an oath when he joined the Ranger Corps. Does it mean nothing to him now?

After a senseless tragedy destroys his life, Will is obsessed with punishing those responsible – even if it means leaving the Ranger Corps. His worried friends must find a way to stop him taking such a dark path.

It is Halt who suggests the solution: Will must take an apprentice. The candidate Halt has in mind surprises everyone – and it's a request Will cannot refuse.

Training a rebellious, unwilling apprentice is hard enough. But when a routine mission uncovers a shocking web of crime, Will must decide where his priorities lie – finishing his quest for revenge, or saving innocent lives?

The final book of the Ranger's Apprentice series raises the stakes higher than ever. Is Will on his last mission for the Ranger Corps?

Another great book from John Flanagan! I LOVE Ranger's Apprentice, and also Brotherband as well. I had been hoping for a book that would show Will with his own apprentice, and this was it. It brings the series full circle, back to its starting point, with a Ranger and his apprentice. I was sad to find that this was the last Ranger's Apprentice book, but it does finish off the series quite well. I loved this book.

An unexpected finale for the series

Diverted from the previous books and followed a different character to the rest of the series.

      Comments about The Royal Ranger:

I found the whole book action-packed and really gripping. I was hooked from the start. The book "The Royal Ranger" was a great finale was a totally unexpected new story line. Through out the book there were many twists and turns that were very unpredictable and highly thrilling. Though, in this book I was rather sad to have to farewell one of the characters due to tragic circumstances.

Not only was this book cheaper on Booktopia than in the stores (and that includes postage) but I was able to get a SIGNED copy! Awesome! Loved reading this series to my class of year 5/6's, and loved reading it myself. :)

Couldn't wait to read the book. Wasn't disappointed it was a great book. Shame it's the end of the series. 13 yr old son read it in 24 hours, he couldn't put it down, went to bed early so he could read!

A great finish to an excellent series. I am an adult who enjoyed this series. Highly recommended for young reluctant readers boys or girls. Not as complex as Harry Potter but still very engaging and kept a high standard right through to the last volume.
