This timely book explores the wisdom of the Gnostic Jesus, who challenges our preconceptions about the world and ourselves. Based on the Gospel of Thomas, the book recounts the missing years in Jesus’ life and his time in Egypt and India, learning from Egyptian secret societies, then Buddhist schools, then Hindu Vedanta. Each of Jesus' original sayings is the "seed" for a chapter of the book; each examines one aspect of life — birth, death, love, fear, anger, and more — counterpointed by Osho’s penetrating comments and responses to questions from his audience.

Comments about Mustard Seed:

Osho is the most realistic and truthful Master since Jesus Christ. Challenging, and insightful, his talks have been turned into books, that leave you feeling enlightened, thirsting for more of Osho's heavenly nectar from the oceans of wisdom, its depths truly fathomless. He is challenging, with a wry sense of humour, encouraging all who drink in his words to be reflective and contemplative of the messages that he conveys. He is truly the Blessed One whose words are timeless, encouraging all seekers of the truth that the holy light, Kingdom of God, Krishna etc., is within and have us realize this through pure consciousness, accessable by the power of meditation. However reminding us too, that all the former masters, Buddah, Krishna, Mohammad are as enlightened as Jesus, thus usurping the slavery of manufacted christianity and that we too can become enlightened in our own way, like those Masters that have gone before. Reminding us too that the organizations behind them, christianity, etc are merely man-made, and to drop this aspect of the equation, for all religions do is teach enslavement of the masses, and as such to find our own Christ, Krishna, etc., within through the power of meditation. Challengly thought-provoking, a must-have in any spiritual library.
