Country introductions summarise the state of ship preservation in each country, pointing to particular national treasures, and direct the maritime enthusiast to areas where there are concentrations of historic craft. Also listed are full-scale replicas. Many of the sips are illustrated, some of the finest examples of preservation being accorded full colour views.
