Hell is still the safest place on earth.
When you've run out of choices, you've only got yourself.
As war rages, as the enemy closes in, as Ellie and her friends fight for their lives, they are left with nothing.
Nothing but courage, spirit and pride.

A sequel to 'Tomorrow, When the War Began' and the 2nd volume in a 7-book series. With winter approaching, the six teenagers still surviving in their mountain hideout make a decision: their first priority must be to find out what has happened to Corrie and Kevin, wounded and captured at the end of the first book.

John Marsden

John Marsden grew up in three states of Australia, and now lives in Victoria. John loved school so much that he started his own. Or, he hated school so much that he started his own in 2006 so that other kids wouldn't have to go through the suffering he experienced. Candlebark is in a beautiful forest near Hanging Rock, and is John's proudest achievement.

John has published more than 40 books, including the bestselling The Tomorrow Series. Tomorrow When the War Began was made into a highly successful movie in 2010.

John is one of Australia's biggest selling and most awarded authors.
